Why citaxi

Ride sharing first

The app is built around joining and requesting shared rides—not a long list of extras.

Lower fares

Sharing the ride is how you reduce what you pay. That’s the product.

Local only

Satara, Karad, Sangli, Kolhapur, Boisar, Palghar, Dahanu, and near Pune and Mumbai Airport. Nowhere else yet.

Trips we serve

Shared rides and lower fares on these corridors—not a city-wide cab service.

Citaxi connects passengers and drivers for ride sharing in western Maharashtra and the Palghar–Dahanu coast. Common trips include airport runs, local shared rides, and same-day round trips with a halt—where splitting the fare saves money.

What riders say

Real trips on corridors we serve—not citywide marketing claims.

I needed to go from Kolhapur to Kasegaon, stay for about three hours, and come back the same day. On Citaxi I booked the outbound ride, finished my work during the halt, then requested the return when I was ready. Clear seats, clear fare share—no need to keep a cab waiting the whole afternoon.

Common questions

Where does Citaxi operate?

Citaxi runs in Satara, Karad, Sangli, Kolhapur, Boisar, Palghar, Dahanu, and near Pune and Mumbai Airport. We are not available in other cities yet.

Does Citaxi cover Pune city?

No. Citaxi serves trips involving Pune Airport and nearby areas—not general Pune city rides. For Mumbai, we focus on Mumbai Airport and the Boisar, Palghar, and Dahanu corridor—not all of Mumbai city.

How does sharing reduce my fare?

When you join a shared ride, the total fare is split among passengers. More seats filled means each person pays less than travelling alone.

What is the difference between join a ride and request a ride?

Join a ride means finding a trip already going your way and requesting to join. Request a ride means you set your from, to, time, and fare when you need a trip.

Is Citaxi available on iPhone?

Citaxi is currently Android only, available on Google Play. iPhone support is not available yet.

How do I book Karad or Satara to Pune Airport?

Download the Citaxi Android app, then either join an existing shared trip going to Pune Airport or request a ride with your pickup, drop, time, and fare. You can also WhatsApp or call us if you need help getting started.

How do I book Boisar, Palghar, or Dahanu to Mumbai Airport?

Open the Citaxi app, set your pickup (Boisar, Palghar, Dahanu, or nearby) and drop near Mumbai Airport, then join a listed shared trip or request a ride. Availability depends on drivers posting matching routes—WhatsApp or call us if you want help finding a seat.

Can I do a round trip with a halt—like Kolhapur to Kasegaon and back?

Yes. Treat it as two trips: request or join the outbound ride, take your halt for work or a visit, then request or join the return when you are ready. A recent Citaxi pattern on this corridor was Kolhapur → Kasegaon, a few hours’ halt, then Kasegaon → Kolhapur.

How do I pay the driver?

Fares and payment terms are shown in the app before you confirm. You pay the driver directly as agreed for the ride—Citaxi does not add hidden charges on top of what is displayed.

Can I book without the app?

The app is the main way to join or request shared rides. If you cannot use Android, contact us on WhatsApp or phone and we will help you find a trip or explain your options.

How are drivers verified?

Drivers register in the app with vehicle and contact details. Before you join, you see driver information in the app so you can choose who to ride with.
